Intro to Chateau Haut Selve, Graves –
Chateau Haut Selve Graves Bordeaux France is a blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and it has a complex nose of red fruits and oaky aromas with vanilla & roasted notes. The palate is round and balanced, with a great aromatic richness, fruity toasted notes and with ripe tannins.
Full tasting note and wine making –
Chateau Haut Selve from the Graves region in Bordeaux has elegant aromas of dark berries, plums and damsons notes and it is full, fleshy and structured. The palate has a lovely lingering flavour built on rich and rounded tannins; and thanks to its general balance, this wine which is now ready to enjoy, offers the guarantee be at its best during the coming years. It is fermented in stainless steel tanks and traditionally matured in oak barrels, of which 30% are new, in temperature controlled cellars. It was aged for twelve months, in French oak barrels.
The producer –
Bordeaux makes oceans of wine from really expensive global brands to the wines made by the archetypal little grower and from these oceans we have chosen a few mere drops: at different levels and of different styles. Leda produces wines from five properties of which we list wines from; Châteaux Cadillac on the edge of Fronsac and Châteaux Haut Selve and Le Bonnat in the Graves region.
This wine is delicious with meaty dishes with plenty of flavour.
