Jim Barry Museum Release McRae Wood Shiraz 1999 Clare valley
This is pretty much at its peak from the very good 1999 vintage which had a dry and long growing season and produced low yields. It has been aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Deep brick red in colour with oak, cedar, mint and blackberry on the nose; soft with ripe berry fruits, soft tannins, a touch of oak and cedar too on the palate. It is long, complex and very elegant. Very limited quantities available.

Majella, The Malleea 2002, Coonawarra
The Malleea by Majella is fine blend of the ripest Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz fruit, aged for 29 months in French oak. It is dark ruby in colour with plum, spice and oak on the nose.

A big block buster Shiraz with much robust berry fruit, spices and pepper flavour that linger. Despite its weight it is very well balanced and a joy to savour.

Jim Barry The Armagh 2004
This is a very concentrated complex wine with powerful aromas of berry fruits, chocolate and cassis that are also apparent on the palate. It has lingering cassis and cream notes that overlay the robust peppery spice of the fruit. A very fine longlasting wine.
